Arrival into Padang
Once you have left the aircraft, got your Visa On Arrival and cleared Customs, you then collect your luggage and go to the exit where someone will be waiting for you and transfer you and your boards to the boat/ Hotel.
The boat usually departs about 6pm depending on your flight arrivals and also our provisioning. We steam overnight and try to arrive at the first surf spot at dawn, weather permitting.
Before we leave the port we will have a group meeting. You will be given a welcome and safety speech by the Captain / Surf Guide and also we will discuss the surf factoring in weather conditions, swell size, location of other boats, etc.

Malaria Protection
Malaria is present in the Islands! Being on a boat away from mosquitoes and people who may have contracted malaria does minimize the chance of infection. The majority of our passengers do not take malaria prophylactic drugs. If you are concerned, please contact your doctor for advice.
